Where Am I? Finally made it! Don’t EVEN get me started with the assholes at Westbrook Sysco… if anyone knows someone that works there… let them know that the treatment we got at the freezer division was inexcusable!! I’ll explain more later when I calm back down…but I was ashamed to know that’s how they treat truckers and most likely out-of-staters.
Anyways…I have MUCH better things to do than update this thing!! 😀

Where Am I? Well… we made it to Chelsea… I can only say two words and forgive me for the language…
HOLY FUCK!!!
We got turned around off Exit 29 I93 North… trying to catch Mass 99 South… had to spin around (literally) in an intersection… then took a wrong turn and had to try to turn around again… ended up down some side street pruning some trees for the ‘burbs of Boston! To say I had a little pucker-factor going would be an understatement…yes, yes I WILL have to clean those shorts twice!
Needless to say, we landed down basically on the North Shore docks where the produce markets are… what a zoo THIS place is with trucks rolling all around… think of it this way… you’ve got four long buildings that are docks…facing each other… spaces for about 2 dozen 18-wheelers… there’s about three dozen rolling around doing some kind of bizaar, freakish ballet.. throw in about another dozen smaller single frame box trucks… then just because it’s Boston…add a double pinch (about a dozen and a half) four-wheelers (cars) doing as per usual for Mass.. Mach 3 through the parking / dock areas.
I’ve seen one particular truck bump no less than a dozen docks just in the time it’s taken me to write this… it looks like he’s got a truck-load of onions… each dock belonging to a different produce owner / market… he’s whiping in and out of docks like some crazed trucker looking for that perfect dock! You can tell he’s done it a time or two as I’ve seen him back into docks quicker and better than you could back in a Yugo in an empty WalMart lot!!
Well… got a pre-plan load for later this morning… picking up in Westfield, MA, doing three stops, with the final one being in Westbrook, ME!! Whoo Hoooo!

Where Am I? We made it to Omaha where Charles was able to visit with his wife and new baby for a few hours… it also gave us a chance to do a PM on the truck at the same time. Apparently they found something semi-serious as we were told to immediately divert this morning to a nearby Freightliner (in Toledo) for the repairs… well they couldn’t take us…but one up the road could… on second shift. So we dropped the truck off and fortunately Charles has a good close friend that lives nearby…so a quick phone call later and we’re now chillin at the friend’s house for the evening.
We WILL have to deliver the load Wednesday morning 0200 in Chelsea, MA… and we don’t know what there is for loads going further north into Maine… so it’s play it be ear whether I get off the truck in Chelsea (if loads are only going south)… or stay put for another day if we get a load north.
