Where Am I? Well, we made it as far as Knoxville, TN this evening… decided to stop for some dinner.. had a pretty good steak dinner…and some darn good coffee!
My instructor said he wanted to take a combat nap before we tried to make it to Nashville (a couple hundred miles away) before we bedded down for the night. After about an hour he woke up to take some more cold medicine and said I might as well bed down as we weren’t going anywhere. He sounds horrendous and is obviously in the throws of this cold. I feel bad for him. The good thing is that I had bought a case of bottled water when I last hit Walmart, which I offered to him as much as he needs… hopefully with some cold meds and plenty of water and sleep he’ll get over this soon and we can roll on normally.
That’s about it for now… I’m heading off to bed myself and we’ll see how he is in the morning… I’m hoping we don’t have to repower this load tomorrow and be stuck here all day…but I certainly understand if he doesn’t feel like sitting the shot-gun seat all day dealing with MY gear-grinding! LOL

Where Am I? BTW…just in case you were curious… this is the stretch of I40 I’m talking about…notice how much it curves and winds it’s way through the mountains here? Beautiful country through here!

Where Am I? Here I am sitting at a po-dunk little truck-stop at X440 off I40 WB and decided to check email and for grins, my horoscope for the day:
Expect a break from the monotony today as you respond to someone’s request for help. The Full Moon falls in your 6th House of Details, exposing the trappings of doing things the same old way as usual. Instead, try working in a contrary manner and you could accomplish quite a lot.
Why am I here you ask and what does that have to do with my horoscope above? Well… my instructor has come down with a cold or flu or something and has to shut us down for a few hours so he can sleep some! It started this morning (well actually yesterday when he said he thought he was coming down with something), then this morning he was feeling like dirt warmed over, and I could see / tell in his voice all morning long that he was going down-hill fast!
So he finally had me give it up here in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee… Yup, we’re heading BACK UP that same wonderful stretch of highway that we came down yesterday! ROFL This time we’re heading back to Saint James, MO to drop this load.
I’ll try to post more later if / when we move further west…
