Well… spent the entire morning…and half the afternoon now…

The trainer I was trying to get hooked up with (Robert)… his student was testing out for CDL today… of course he failed his pre-trip and road tests.  Soooo that means…I’m the last phat kid again.  Robert’s student can’t re-test until Wednesday… so instead of standing around in the sun getting burnt all afternoon, I’ve been cut loose for the day with the assurement that “there’s a couple smoking trainers coming in shortly!”

I’ve seen more smoking truckers in this one area than anywhere else but they ain’t got no damn trainers?!?!?

<sigh>

I know… patience…

Back to the pad tomorrow morning at 0830 to wait some more…

Oh-dark-30…as in Oh my head it’s still dark out! – 0725hrs

Got a call last night… “This is Jason from the front desk, just wanted to let you know you’ve got a roommate coming up.”

“Ugh…grumble…mumble” or whatever I said.

Okay…drag my ass awake… check the clock… WTF?!?!  The damn clock must be broken ’cause it’s only showing 00:00.

Duh… military time…it’s midnight.

Sit up, smoke a butt, clear off the second bed.  Wait… 10 minutes… 15 minutes…

Well frig this!  I’m going back to bed!

I vaguely heard him when he came in, so that was good.

Woke up this morning… as per usual with the cheerful 0530 wake-up call.

Once we both get up and moving, we introduce… black guy from Georgia… get this.. his first name?

Of course it’s ‘Marshall’!  ROFLMAO

Anyways, it’s off to the pad for 0830 to try and get that trainer.  Currently sitting the smoking lounge at the Millenium.  Here’s to hoping I can actually get on the road today!  (Good thing I did my laundry and packed most of my stuff up!  Ready to Rock N Roll!  Get in, shut up, keep the left door closed and DRIVE!)
